Once again a day turns out to be a carbon copy of the day before with one or two details changed (I was wearing a brown t-shirt instead of a green one). That may make it sound like I bored or it was an unproductive day but that couldn’t be further from the truth. In the morning we had planned to visit the blockmaking yard however as it was down beside where we eat lunch we decided to wait until the afternoon. So while we waited I drew a 3D drawing of the new blockmaking yard I had designed. Around 12.30 Sr. Cathy arrived with plates full of food, explaining that she had other guests for lunch above and if we minded eating here (with food that good I would have eaten it anywhere). There was once again so much food we had two large plates of ham between the four of us. Around two we set off walking to the block plant. It about a 5 minute walk past the Cheshire Homes Centre. On the way we crossed a football pitch that was completely made of sand, which it suddenly hit us was part of the Kalahari Desert. We were walking across the Kalahari Desert (not a thing I ever thought I’d do). When we got to the block yard they weren’t making any blocks for the day and the manager wasn’t there (who we had a few questions for). So instead we headed over to play with the kids in Cheshire Homes (and use the internet but that doesn’t sound as good). On the way we passed what can only be described as a stereotypical African scene, about 50 kids playing soccer in their bare feet with a ball made of rolled up plastic bags tied together. The kids, at the Cheshire Homes, are so cool I was sitting on a wall with a small baby whose only interest was eating her own fingers until Áine started blowing bubbles and delight on her face at each bubble burst was so funny. When the bubbles were gone she seemed sad so I gave her my phone to play with. I put it on the ringtones page and each time she pressed up or down a new song played. She started dancing to each song it was so cute (I know that word again but I can’t think of any other way of describing it). We played with them a while (so many flies landed on the kids they are real pests here) and after using the internet we set off for home. We finished off the day by watching the end of “American History X” and then watching “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry” (I know taking a risk watching a film thats content is illegal in the country you’re watching it in). So that was our day.
